MA PTA

Here is a lovely article about MA PTA's 100th Anniversary Celebration held a couple of weeks ago. It really was a phenomenal weekend that I took a lot from.

I am looking forward to becoming more involved on the state level with my new position on the Board Of Directors as the Advocacy Chair. It's funny; my increasing involvement in advocacy for children and education, as well as my growing concern and involvement in local government affairs is like the realization of a dream I never knew I had. Everyday, it becomes more clear that being an active, participating member of society, advocating for the needs of children especially, but really being as involved as possible on all levels, is what I was born to do. It's truly empowering, and it feels good!

I can relate, being involved in the town we live in and participating in the decisions that affect all of our lives really is a hugely rewarding experience. It was nice to see you at both the school committee meeting and then the BOS meeting! These are some interesting times to be attending these meetings.
I'll see you the next one!

I agree. Through blogging I discovered my life's calling - hammering on the BOS :)

Funny Mark! And hey, lets face it, hammering people through blogging can be, well...fun (not to mention therapeutic! ;)
