Tonight at dinner, Julia was refusing to eat. This hasn't happened in a long time (OT is a wonderful thing). Anyway, after a good half hour of begging, pleading and even bribing with leftover birthday cake, I finally decided that nothing I did was going to work, and took her plate away to the trash. She promptly burst in to tears and said, "You took my plate away," followed shortly by her crossing her arms in protest and saying, "You're gonna be very in trouble." I said to her, "But Julia, you didn't want to eat it." Her response? "Yeah, but it's mine!"
The kid cracks me up, yes she does.
